11 August 08Race news from w/c 4 August
Wednesday saw the the Harriers along with other Cheshire clubs line up for the Pie n Peas 5 mile multi terrain race in Moulton. The rain kept off for the duration and in humid conditions Mike Hatton, on form again came in first for Harriers in time of 29:44, followed closely by 17 year old Liam Wilkinson in an excellent 30:44 winning his category in only his second race in Harriers colours. On same evening Mike Cultler and John Latham made the journey to run the Wirral seaside 5K from Leasowe lighthouse, finishing in 20.17 and 25:05 respectively.

On Saturday Stephen Whincup battled rain, wind and sleet to complete the 43 mile Devil O' the Highlands Ultra race in aid of Christie's Hospital in a tremendous 8:37:05

Sunday again saw Harriers in action at the Great Warford 10 mile race. Again Mike Hatton stormed round in 60.37 coming in as 1st in Veterans over 45. Other finishers were Neil Jones 1st V40 in 64.44, Liam Wilksinson was next in 66.17 running his first ever 10 miler. Other times were Mike Cutler 75.20, Martin Stirna 82.33, Colin Wynne 88.47. Only Harriers lady Kedren Elliott finished in a time of 98.39.
