- Formed at the beginning of 1986 as a breakaway group from Crewe and Nantwich
AC in order to concentrate on Road Running. We still have 6 of the original
group as members.
- Activities: Road Running, Cross-Country, and Fell and Hill Running.
- Club Colours: Sky Blue top with South Cheshire Harriers written in red.
- At the end of 2006 we had 94 paid-up club members including 32 Ladies
(1 Under 15).
- Subscriptionsfor 2007 onwards: £15, but renewal reduced to £12 if paid before
the end of the January of the subscription year. Subscription for new members
is £15, reducing to £10 if joining from August onwards. If joining in
November or December then only the subscription for the following year need
be paid. Subscription for Juniors is £8. The subscription year runs from the
beginning of January to the end of December.
- AGM is held in November.
- Our initial home was at the P-Way Club on Gresty Road until that closed
(early 1993?). We then moved to the South Cheshire College in Danebank Avenue.
In August 1997 we moved to our third home at the Oakley Centre in the centre
of Crewe. In August 2007 we moved to the Vagrants (There
was an EGM for all members to vote on our future place of residence at the
Oakley Centre on Thursday 10th May 2007. 36 were present. Votes were 25 to
3 to move from the Oakley, and 25 to 6 in favour of the Vagrants over Haslington
Cricket Club).
