Just a quick note to say thanks for an outstanding run; one of the most enjoyable I've done for while. Thanks especially to those whose efforts enabled it to happen.
I thought you had put on a very good race. Good venue, and great countryside to run in. The course was well marked and marshalled which I found very helpful as there was no-one to follow after the first 1 and 1/2 miles. I think I was lucky at the quarry as I just happened to notice the red and white tape going off and avoided the mistake of going up to the road. Alan (the other Telford Harrier runner) and myself are recommending the race to our mud loving runners so please repeat it next year. I ran in Hellrunner today, good fun and tough with a swimming section - the Bogs of Doom! This is not to suggest that you need any more water features.
Big thumbs up from Steph & Miranda, both thoroughly enjoyed it. The pair of them didn't shut up about it all the way to the pub. Maybe a few more Harriers doing it next year. They regarded it as an ideal opener to the Cross Country season, showers very welcome too.
Good trail race. Not too many inclines but plenty of mud. Well run event.
well, we were lucky with the weather after the torrential downpour of the previous night. That certainly filled up the paddy fields :) Many thanks to SCH marshalls and their runners who tried to marshall as well. I think the clocks going back may have accounted for lack of marshalls but that didn't detract from my enjoyment. Loved the beer afterwards, thanks. The course was flat but muddy, and yet quite challenging at the same time. Well done and thanks again folks.
Beautiful scenery, lots of mud, race distance was actually 8.88 miles....I really enjoyed this one, goody bag was good...a pedometer, Beer and the rest! A very very good race..Well done to the organizers!
I've never seen so much mud after last nights rain. However, the race was excellent. The marshals very welcoming and encouraging and the goody back had a nice touch of real ale inside. Overall an excellent little race that I hope goes from strength to strength.
Great run mainly off road, along farm tracks and public footpaths. Very muddy in places due to the heavy rain, but great fun. The course was undulating and the marshalls encouraging. The race was excellent value at 8. The goody bag included a bottle of real ale and a pedometer amongst other things.
