The club has a forum, which is an interactive area that can be used by club members for a variety of things, including organising future social events, organising lifts for races, and discussing all aspects of upcoming and recently completed races and training runs.

There are areas on the site which will only be accessible by registered club members, which could be used for things which you don't mind other club members sharing (like addresses or telephone numbers), but don't want to be widely available to casual surfers. And there is a more public area for items which we don't mind sharing with the rest of the world

Although the site is hosted on a free forum site, We don't seem to have had any club members receiving any spam as a result of being a member, so it seems reasonably 'safe'. We have had to restrict the site so that only registered members can post to the forum to make it more difficult for malicious persons to post entries.

We have areas where we can discuss how we want to use the forum, as well as asking for suggestions for social events and asking for suggestions where the off-road contingent could go.

In order to register, you will have to think up a username for yourself and provide a password which you will have to provide any time you want to post an entry. Once you have registered, I will include you as a member of a group called 'SCH', which will give you access to the 'member-only' parts of the forum. If this doesn't seem to happen automatically (as I don't check every day) then you can apply to be a member of the SCH group, which will send me an email prompt.
